Great review! Thanks for sending me the link. I’m glad this is light on the gore. Jump scares worry me but I like that there are some clues to when to expect them.

You and Tommy Salami have convinced me to see this. That’s no small task for a girl like me who doesn’t like watching anything scary.

I couldn’t stand Down with Love. You should really watch Pillow Talk (1959). It’s one of my favorite movies, I find myself singing the theme song and I’ve watched it alone, with friends and on the big screen and each time I watch it I find new thigns I didn’t notice before or things to appreciate that I overlooked. Its packed with sexual innuendos! My favorite is Rock Hudson carrying a stack of wood. LOL.

I’m with you. I wanted to like this more than I really did. I even went to see it in the theater, something I don’t do super often.

I haven’t watched many horror movies in my life, so I might not be a good judge, but The Shining was the scariest movie I’ve ever seen. It actually scared me when I first saw it. For weeks I was afraid to be alone in the house.

I still get chills thinking of that kid on the Big Wheel going from carpet to floor. Carpet to floor.

I like this actually, but I can see where you’re coming from. I think a movie like this exists essentially to parodize. Although that’s probably not enough of a justification for the things you dislike, it’s in keeping with the all around silliness of the whole thing. And that closing song with Renee and Ewan always sells me.
