Oh, come on, whoever nominated this! This movie isn’t awful! It’s cute. Have a heart!
It’s pretty much just the story of Spongebob and his starfish friend Patrick saving Mr. Krabs from Plankton, the evil little sea creature who wants to rule the world, but it’s goofy and funny. Keeping in mind that this is really made for little kids, it’s not bad for a grown-up to watch, either. Certainly I wouldn’t be dying to see it ever again, but it was far more bearable than High School Musical and it looks like Gone With The Wind compared to Ax ‘Em.
It’s just a cute piece of fluff for kids.
No harm done here! Someone actually hated this?
Awww.
Plus, it’s got this man in it:
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but David Hasselhoff made this movie better.
In fact, I quite like Spongebob Squarepants: The Movie. I really don’t have much fascinating to say about it, because…well…I liked it a fair bit and it doesn’t feel right to shamelessly mock it.
(Shut up!)

Yay Caitlin!!!
Yeah really, I agree. Who hated this movie? I’m guessing they don’t have any sense of humor. Or they’re all dark and gothic and hate happy things. Or both.

Awww, well, Jason, I’m just giving said person a hard time. I am sure they’re a lovely person, they just disagree with me on Spongebob!
I unabashedly adore Spongebob Squarepants so I am so glad you didn’t hate this movie! Yes, it’s a little harder to take Spongebob in increments of more than ten minutes, but the imagination in the animation is like old-school-Simpsons-fun and that counts for a lot in my book!
Yes, it’s a little harder to take Spongebob in increments of more than ten minutes,
Yeah, the movie version is a bit long and it gets a bit tiresome in places but there’s a lot of really funny little bits in it. I enjoyed it! Especially given some of the crap I’ve watched lately, you know. :D
The ice cream sundae bender was in the SpongeBob movie, right? Am I making that up? Because if it was, that stands as a genuinely AWESOME movie sequence, able to hold its own against all kinds of other, “better” movies. :D
It was, Schnookie! It was.
Yes, Schnookie, it was, and that’s one of my favorite parts of the movie! :D
